The pickups can be controlled in active or passive mode using the mini active/passive switch on the pickguard. Other features include a 20 fret maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, '70s stamped open gear tuning machines, and a Hipshot Bass Xtender "Drop D" tuning key on the E string.
